"Rightsizing and Academic Transformation - a conversation"
Please join Dr. Cummings for a rightsizing and academic transformation community conversation with neighbors, community members, and stakeholders. This remote conversation will offer current information about the proposed plans to close Hay and Tarkington Elementary Schools at the end of this academic year and recommendations to create an Innovation Network Zone for two other elementary schools, Muessel Elementary and Marquette Montessori Academy, both of which have consistently underperformed. An Innovation Zone will provide these underperforming schools with autonomy and the support necessary for improved academic achievement.
Dr. Cummings will have the opportunity to receive your input on these possible changes, address your concerns, and answer your questions. Through these conversations, we intend to guide the district’s decisions, improve academic outcomes for students and make wise budgetary decisions.
