Meet the Candidates - South Bend Municipal Election
October 5, 6-8pm at 1001 Wiekamp Hall
The League of Women Voters of the South Bend Area and Indiana University South Bend’s American Democracy Project invite South Bend voters to get to know the candidates on their November ballot by attending an October 5th Meet the Candidates event from 6-8 PM in IU South Bend’s 1001 Wiekamp Hall.
Candidates will introduce themselves to attendees, explaining their reasons for running, qualifications for office, and top priorities, while also making a final pitch to voters telling attendees why they deserve their votes. After formal statements, voters will have an opportunity to chat with candidates one-on-one to ask follow-up questions and determine which candidates best reflect their own values, vision, and views. Candidate literature, volunteer sign-up sheets, and refreshments will be available during the networking reception included in the event.
