In July, the League of Women Voters of the South Bend Area will welcome Alexandro Bazán and Dr. Alan F. Hamlet for Lunch with the League on Zoom. The event takes place on Friday, July 8 at 12:00pm.

Titled "Preparing for 21st Century Climate Change in Indiana: An Overview of the IN Climate Change Impacts Assessment," this talk will give an overview of the Indiana Climate Change Impacts Assessment. Bazán and Hamlet will discuss some of the most important impacts of climate change on our region, including extreme heat and humidity, river flooding, and urban stormwater impacts.

Speakers:
Alexandro Bazán is the Sustainability Project Manager for the City of South Bend. Alexandro manages the Energy Assistance Solar Savings Initiative (EASSI) program, the first of its kind program for the City that assists nonprofits and community organizations to improve the energy efficiency of their building and implement solar energy. He mainstreams sustainability principles into City programs and operations.

Dr. Alan F. Hamlet is an Associate Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences at the University of Notre Dame.
